The sun has just risen and now I am stretched out on my belly, arms extended while holding my camera on the skimmer/ground pod and aimed at the shoreline. The breeze is soft and the air is filled with the occasional sounds of birds as they begin the morning ritual of foraging for food. A Reddish Egret flies in and begins his dance. Floating above the water, he spreads his wings and spins as he begins the hunt. Terns and Skimmers take turns rising as one, pinwheeling through the sky and returning to settle once again in the gentle surf. Thus, the day begins.
